HONORING A STORIED LEGACY
Our founder's late grandfather, Carmelo Calleja, was an enterprising business man who made a lasting impact on the Mellieha community. From serving the British army with fruits and vegetables to establishing successful enterprises such as a petrol station, a bar, a tile factory, a soft drinks factory, and vast agricultural holdings, Carmelo Calleja's dedication to excellence and ethical business practices became a source of pride for the family. Although our founder never had the opportunity to meet their grandfather, the stories of his accomplishments, integrity, and community influence have been cherished by the Mellieha community for over five decades.
Following in the footsteps of Carmelo, our founder's father, Emanuel Calleja, affectionately known as 'Emy,' continued the family legacy of entrepreneurship. As a wholesaler at the Ta' Qali Farmers' market and a successful entrepreneur, 'Emy' ventured into various businesses, ranging from fruit and vegetable distribution to managing a retail outlet, a restaurant, and leasing commercial properties. The values of hard work, dedication, and community engagement embodied by both Carmelo and 'Emy' have profoundly influenced our founder's approach to business and life.
